Personal Statement
With over 13 years working within the human service field I have acquired broad-based clinical expertise with varying functioning levels of individuals with disabilities based on my prior experience as a direct care staff, a residence manager and now a program coordinator, supervising several group homes and managers. These skills have perpetuated a truly person–centered approach, which has enhanced the growth and development of all the individuals I serve. I utilized these skills, along with the ability to view the individuals’ environmental, medical, social and family history, as a means to offer new opportunities and dignified challenges to the individuals. My visionary approach to the operation of my programs and staff development should be viewed as “cutting-edge,” while of the highest ethics and integrity.
