Disability Studies Program
This is the part of the ePortfolio where I share, discuss and display some of my favorite work from my Masters program.
While there were many interesting and fulfilling moments, my favorite course was Embodiment and Disability. It is probably this course that inspired me to write the paragraph quoted in my reflections page.
Some of my favorite papers include, My Day-James, Spina Bifida Support Group, and The Misrepresentation of People with Disabilities in the Media to name a few.
I found this program to be enlightening although some of my expectations differed from what the program actually offered. However, each course provided me with something, at times in the form of a reflection, a new idea, or a meaningful insight into the world of disability. A world that through personal experience I thought I knew very well.
In the chart below I provide you with links to several of my papers. I hope that you will take some time and read a few. I really believe that you will get something out of reading them.
