Abstract:

Web 2.0 technologies have allowed computer users to connect and communicate their shared experiences with others in ways that have otherwise been impossible. Web 2.0 has allowed social network website users to, electronically network with people who could provide valuable insight and connections to prospective employers” (Lee 2009). As many students are preparing to graduate college, they must not only prepare a physical resume, but also a virtual one filled with information that can advance their standing in a tough job market. This study hypothesizes that the likelihood of employers  screening-out or screening-in potential employees based on their online posted content depends on the economic sector of their organization.
