At first glance, this picture may give the viewer the odd impression of something like a Vulcan mind-meld. But when you really look at it, and take it in, it is such an awesome depiction of a sharing, transferring, and exchange of concepts, ideas and thoughts.

To me, this is exactly the magic that the SPS program facilitates. I have learned so much from the thoughts, ideas and experiences that my classmates have shared through their posts, and this rich exchange is something that just couldn’t have been possible in a traditional classroom setting.

As an older student returning to a classroom that is so very different than anything I ever could have imagined when I first attended college in the 1990’s, I’m very happy to report that yes, you can indeed teach an old dog new tricks.
