Romania has a very interesting history before, during and after the Second World War - just think of the Warsaw Pact, officially named the "Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance," created to counter the perceived threat of NATO (the Warsaw Pact countries consisted of the Soviet Union, Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Romania).
