My name is Staci Murphy.  I used to live in Metro Atlanta but recently moved to the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina.  So far I really like this area, it is close to the mountains and the beach and has both a city and suburb feel to it.  Before moving done to Georgia I was in New York (Westchester County) for a few years.  That is where I got introduced to CUNY and decided I would like to finish my degree. I am very excited to be nearing the finish of the SPS program and obtaining my BA (a long time personal goal). 

A little more about me....I am married with two wonderful dogs that are in effect my children.  I'm a vegan meaning I don't eat any meat or animal products so no milk or cheese please.  I enjoy running half marathons and have completed one full marathon so far.  I haven't decided what to do after my degree yet.  I would like to either continue my studies by going for an M.A. or perhaps start up my own business.  I recently left my job as a Customer Care Supervisor for a helpdesk, I loved my job but my husband took a new position in North Carolina.  I stayed in Georgia for about 6 months and we commuted back and forth but the going back and forth got tiring so I resigned from my position and joined my husband in North Carolina.  I'm taking a little time off between jobs to figure out what I really want to do.  You would think that question would be easy but I never seem to figure it out.
